Privacy policy

Hạnh Phúc Software (“we”) makes the Hạnh Phúc app at hanhphucsoftware.com. We understand that journals, feelings and habits are deeply personal. This policy explains how the app handles your data.

1. Where is my data stored?

Everything you create in the app — gratitude entries, mood check-ins, notes, habits, breathing and meditation history, your display name — is stored in your browser on your own device (IndexedDB). This data is never sent to our servers or to any third party.

2. What we don't collect

• No account, email, phone number or password is required.
• We never read, store or analyze your journal entries or moods.
• No ads, and we never sell data.

3. Minimal technical information

Like any website, our hosting provider may record technical access logs such as IP address, browser type and time of access to operate and protect the service. We may use anonymous, cookie-free page-view analytics on our public pages to improve the website. These tools have no access to the data inside your app.

The app uses one small cookie (hp_lang) to remember your chosen language, and browser storage to remember light/dark mode.

4. Backups and deletion

• You can export a backup file (JSON) at any time in Settings. The file stays on your device; keep it safe because it contains your journal.
• You can delete all data in Settings. Clearing browser data or uninstalling the app also erases it.
• Because we don't store your data, we cannot recover lost data.

5. Children

The app is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information. If you are under 16, please use it with a parent or guardian.

6. Changes to this policy

When we add new features (for example, accounts and cloud sync), this policy will be updated and you will be clearly informed before any data leaves your device. Such features will always be optional.
